Artificial Intelligence Policy

Based on guidelines from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Research summit has developed the following policy on Artificial Intelligence (AI):

·         AI tools do not meet the criteria for authorship.

·         AI tools may assist in the research process, but must not replace critical thinking, creativity, innovation, or adherence to research ethics

·         Any assistance taken from AI—such as in language generation, image creation, table design, or chart configuration—must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments section of the manuscript.

·         It is the obligation of the author to take responsibility for originality, integrity, transparency, and accuracy of the contents developed by AI.

·         Peer Reviewers must be informed of the contents generated by AI.

·         The Editorial Board will continually monitor and develop future policies regarding the use of AI in submitted manuscripts, in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidelines.
